A Journey Charged With Fresh Hope

Story by Hearts In Action June 26th, 2015

3000 mile road trip

A 3000 mile road trip recently connected Mario & Suzanne with family, friends and congregations this spring. Prayer sent them on their way from Ohio and brought them back again safely after a month on the road. They drove through New York and the New England states sharing exciting updates about Hearts in Action’s work in the nations, the spread of the values curriculum “Festivalores”and updates from the field.

Driving through New England

our mission

On this trip, they shared in coffee houses, churches, teacher´s meetings and home groups from New York to New Hampshire. Their itinerary included times to visit & celebrate life and to invigorate languishing souls. Where ever they went they taught about missions. They had many special visits with family and times to pray with friends.

They told friends along the way how the work with children and youth has grown over the years. Their teams are now spreading the good news of the gospel in 5 countries from 7 mission bases. HIA is reaching more children and youth every year and seeing a deeper impact in the communities they serve. The HIA Central American teams are working in Guatemala and Mexico and the South American teams are established in Peru and Colombia. When Mario & Suzanne are not on the road in the USA they can be found at one of their international sites encouraging kids, building teams or teaching & training leaders.

In cities and towns

Suzanne spoke with over 50 women in one of the oldest churches in the country. The First Congregational Church of Rowley, built in 1634 was the meeting place for beautiful women from the Essex Association of Massachusetts. They gathered to hear the reports and help raise support for the Jungle school in Guatemala. Many hearts were spurred to action on this trip and challenged to consider how to grow in love and good works. The Bible tells us to never, never get tired of doing good . 2 Thes. 3:13 If we don’t give up, we´ll reap a harvest at just the right time.
